FAQs for our Podiatry Clinic in Sheffield's Cathedral Quarter
At LR Podiatry, we offer specialist treatments to effectively manage plantar fasciitis, tailored to your needs. Our city centre clinic, easily accessible by train, tram, and bus, is equipped with a spacious, dedicated room for gait analysis, where we can thoroughly observe and assess how you walk. This allows us to identify underlying issues that may be contributing to your heel pain.
Our comprehensive approach includes a detailed biomechanical assessment to understand your body’s movements better and pinpoint areas of strain. We also provide orthotic prescriptions to support your feet and improve alignment. For more advanced treatment, we offer shockwave therapy, a powerful, non-invasive solution that helps speed up healing and reduce pain.
We’re here to help you move comfortably and confidently.
The cost of treating verrucas at LR Podiatry varies depending on the method chosen. One of our effective treatments is microwave therapy, which is available for £459. This package includes three initial appointments for microwave sessions, followed by a four-month review to assess progress.
Another option is needling, which costs £375 and involves a specific appointment for the procedure. During this treatment, we will puncture the verruca several times with a dry needle. Following the needling session, we will see you again in one week to check that the area is healing properly, with a further follow-up at six months.
It’s important to note that while these treatments have exceptionally high efficacy rates, achieving a resolution of 75% to 80%, there is no treatment that can guarantee complete removal of verrucas.
Before proceeding with any treatment, a primary appointment is essential, costing £79. During this visit, we will review your medical history, assess your condition, confirm that you have a verruca, and determine if you are suitable for the treatment you’re interested in. We will also discuss all available options, including the possibility of no treatment at all, as verrucas can sometimes resolve on their own over time, although it may take years or even decades.
At LR Podiatry, we prioritise your comfort and convenience. Our clinic features three spacious treatment rooms fully equipped to assess and treat all foot and ankle issues. We also have a dedicated GAIT analysis room where we can evaluate your anatomy and movement with precision.

Podiatrists use specialized equipment and techniques to effectively treat ingrown toenails. At LR Podiatry, our skilled team can administer local anaesthetics, expertly numbing specific areas of the foot to ensure treatments are pain-free. Once the toe is anaesthetised, we can safely and comfortably remove the portion of the nail causing the issue.
For patients experiencing recurrent ingrown toenails, we offer a permanent solution through nail surgery. This involves removing the problematic section of the nail and applying a caustic chemical to the root to prevent it from growing back, providing a lifelong fix. Our clinics are equipped with the tools needed to carry out this procedure seamlessly, including dressing your toe and providing post-procedure care to support healing over the following weeks.
At LR Podiatry, we pride ourselves on using our expertise and advanced techniques to ensure your comfort and achieve the best outcomes.
